AI Content Capture accesses and processes the following data:

• Conversation Content: Text from your conversations with AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini)

3. How We Use Your Data

All data processing happens locally on your device:

• Conversation Export: We read conversation content from web pages to format and export it
• Settings Storage: We save your preferences locally using Chrome's storage API
• File Creation: We generate export files based on your selected format

4. Data Storage

• Local Storage: User preferences are stored locally using Chrome's storage API
• Exported Files: Saved directly to your device's download folder
• No Cloud Storage: We do not store any data on remote servers
• No Databases: We do not maintain any databases of user data

6. Permissions Explanation

AI Content Capture requires the following Chrome permissions:

Why: To read conversation content from the current tab when you click export

Usage: Only activated when you explicitly click the extension icon and export button

Why: To save exported files to your device

Usage: Only used when you click the export button

Why: To save your preferences (format, timestamp, metadata settings)

Usage: Stores settings locally on your device

host_permissions (chat.openai.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com)

Why: To access and read conversation content from these specific AI platforms

Usage: Only on these three domains, only when you use the export feature

7. Third-Party Services

AI Content Capture does NOT integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or external APIs. The extension operates entirely offline (except for accessing the AI platform pages you're already visiting).

8. Data Security

• All data processing happens locally on your device
• No data transmission over the internet
• No server-side storage or processing
• Your exported files are saved directly to your device

9. Children's Privacy

AI Content Capture does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The extension is designed for general use and does not target children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
